For people living with physical disabilities, limited mobility can restrict access to work, education, healthcare and everyday community life.
The Clement Adesina Soje Foundation has responded by donating electric-powered mobility scooters to physically challenged residents. These scooters are designed to make movement easier while creating greater opportunities for beneficiaries to participate in social and economic activities.
Mobility support is not simply about getting from one location to another. It can reduce dependence on family members, improve access to livelihood opportunities and restore a stronger sense of personal control.
The initiative forms part of the Foundation's Inclusive Community Development Programme, which seeks to ensure that progress within Magongo extends to people whose needs are often overlooked.
By treating accessibility as an essential part of development, the Foundation is helping to create a community in which physical limitations do not automatically become social or economic exclusion. Every journey made more accessible is also a step towards greater dignity, participation and independence.
